monthly meetings at our theatre

New Members always welcome

About Us

Modular layout building gives our members the chance to be responsible for a section of a large layout and create their own scenics and setting and then connecting with other modular sections to create a large and very interesting exhibition layout. Each section can be a separate theme thus allowing numerous train types to pass along the connecting track, and can be taken to exhibitions around the South East.  We will initially be operating in N, OO/HO and O scale and work to base board size 800mm x 250mm for N gauge,   4ft x 1ft for OO/HO and 4ft x 2ft for O gauge.

The idea is that with limited space for many to build layouts, each section can fit into a boot of a car and easy to transport to and from the club and worked on at home and on club days.

The club has  a van which can then transport many of the modules to model railway shows along with others going in members cars.

We meet once a month to set up and run the layouts at the London Theatre in the borough of Lewisham where we can park for free outside and unload with ease. The theatre itself and on warm nights, we have a 50ft roof garden with power.   Some Modules can also be stored here for those members without a car.   There is a well stocked bar and 2 minutes from New Cross BR and on major bus routes.
